Abstract

This is the proceedings of the conference held August 23-28, 1987, at the YMCA of the Rockies, Estes Park, Colorado, U.S.A. It is a two volume set organized roughly along the lines of the designated session topics, with all papers, both invited and contributed, grouped according to subject matter: Acceleration of Solar and Stellar Winds, Coronal Mass Ejections and Their Interplanetary Manifestations, Spatial and Temporal Gradients, Waves, Comets, and Composition, Slow Shocks in the Solar System, Energetic Particle Acceleration in Solar and Stellar Winds, and Distant Solar Wind.
